Purchasing AMSEC Safes from First Security Safe Home Company
What Are AMSEC Safes?
Safes come in all shapes and sizes and the best way to determine what kind of safe to purchase is to consider what you are trying to protect. Burglary and fire resistant safes are designed to withstand threat of heat, fire and attacks from torches, drills and other sophisticated tools. These kinds of safes are excellent for storing jewelry, gold, important paper documents, money and valuables vulnerable to fire damage.
At First Security Safe Company, we can help you select the best high security products possible for your business, home or office. We are located in downtown Los Angeles and have been in business since 1922. We have the largest inventory of premium safes and the largest and most complete showroom of safes available.
Among our clients are private individuals, banking and financial institutions, large scale commercial jewelers, federal and state governmental agencies and universities.
We take great pride in offering only the best safes in our inventory. Among them are American Security Products, who make AMSEC safes. They have been manufacturing top quality safes for more than 65 years. Based in Fontana, California- AMSEC designed round door vaults that became the industry benchmark. Later, square doors fashioned from plates of steel were developed in the 1960s as they were more cost efficient. They featured complex networks of bolts and locking mechanisms.
Today, these safes feature a combination of steel plates with concrete to provide a superior level of security. The highest security available with these safes is a rating of TL 15, TL 30, and now TL 30×6 safes.
The Underwriters Laboratory created a guideline of ratings for the safe industry. A TL 15 rating means a safe is tool resistant to a burglar break-in for 15 minutes. A TL 30 rating means the safe is tool resistant for 30 minutes.
These safes are also tested under rigid standards. The electronic locks are tested to a military standard known as Mil 0202-Method 106, which means the lock is bombarded with extreme changes in humidity and temperature. All of these type of safes must pass a rigorous 28-point test.
The AMSEC inventory includes burglary safes, high security safes, B and C rated safes, safes with UL listed fire resistant ratings and the highest security TL rated safes.
